Acrylic paint on museum board. I painted this golden, blue, and teal background and there is sat until I painted the large pink/red swirl. After several additional layers and additions, I felt the push and pull of the vortex on the land below. Very much inspired by the movie, "Interstellar," I was reminded of the event horizon the main character witnesses as he slips into the black hole. The piece has been professionally double-matted in a 32" x 26" wood frame, under glass.
